Uneven Pupils in 3-Month Old

My 3-month old has uneven pupils. I am terrified of it being Horner's Syndrome. They are more noticable in dim light. I know they say ptosis will be present, but I do not see a droopy eye lid. Her eye with the smaller pupil has an eyelid that is smaller in size. She can open both of her eyes fully. Not sure if they consider this ptosis? Does this sound like Horner's? I have an appointment with a pediatric opthomologist, but they are booked until the end of November. I am praying every night that there is no real problem, but just born this way and it will eventually even out. Any words of wisdom or advice? It's going to be a long 1-month wait!

Horner's syndrom (syndrome) would be more noticeable in dim light as the abnormal pupil doesn't dilate well.  There is usually associated mild ptosis.  Horner's syndrome itself it often not a major problem in an of itself but can occasionlly be a sign of another abnormality.  Unfortunately there are other worse problems than Horner's syndrome that can cause pupil abnormalities but we clearly don't even know if there is even a problem yet.  Physiologic anisocoria (naturally different pupil size) is another possibility and hopefully that will be what it ends up being.  Sorry, I don't have more to help your anxiety but hopefully your child is developing nicely and doing very well otherwise and that is always something to be thankful for.
