bug bite on the eyeball

A bug of some sort (seemed bigger than a mosquito) flew into my eye, the lower white part away from my nose.  I immediately "heard" or felt a pop sound followed by an extreme ache in my eye.  It felt like the bug was still in my eye but there was nothing there.  Its now about an hour later and the eye still aches pretty bad in the spot that it hit although of something being in my eye is gone now.  My vision seems okay now but should I be concerned?

Probably by the time you read this reply you are fine.  The bug probably scraped a small area of eye skin and then fell or flew away.  The scrape made it feel like the bug was still in there initially.
