mole in the eye

very recently I was  told by an opthomologist that it looked like  a mole in my eye and they sent me for photos  ,,,which however could not find it I was told to return in 3 months,,,,seems a long time and I am very worried,,,she said she needed to see if it grew !! but how will she know without the photos ?

That's a good question.  Hopefully she made a careful drawing.  I think if the doctor was really worried you would already have been referred to a retinal specialist for angiograms and photos and B-scan testing.  Remember that the vast majority of choroidal nevi (plural of nevus or freckle) are harmless and benign. Only the rare, large and growing ones present a danger.  Call your doctor to find out exactly what your risk is.  Most likely it is quite low.
