scerlitis on cyclophosphamide

I have had scerlitis for over 5 years, i have gone onto infusion of cyclophosphamide , i have had 2 infusions so far but i am still getting very bad break throughs can you tell me how long it takes for cyclophosmide to swtart working as im being told i cant have any more damage to my scerla as i have thinning, please give me some advice on this as im at my wits end with it. my break throughs are very severe ,swelling of the eye lid,dropping of the eye lid, redding of the eye, severe pain and weeping of the eye.

I'm sorry your having such a terrible problem.  Scleritis is a very concerning problems for ophthalmologists and the patients that suffer with it.  You have to make sure that all potential causes have been investigated as some could be life threatening.  You have to have a good rheumatologist and an eye M.D./ophthalmologist who specializes in Uveitis (inflammation of the eye) both monitoring you closely.  Usually universities are the best setting for the management of scleritis but there are a few very good uveitis specialists in the community as well.  The questions you ask are beyond this forum and difficult to answer as each patient's response to medication is different.  Make sure the above specialists are involved in your care.
