small bright circle darting around in my vision

I had a vitrectomy for a macular hole a year ago.  Hole closed.  Vision 20/60 corrected.   Now I am seeing a very small bright circle of light  with a black ring around it darting around my vision.  It isn't there all the time.    What could this be?

This could represent new flashes and floaters suggestive of a posterior vitreous detachment or even a retinal tear or detachment.  If not due to one of these things it is possible that you are noticing some sort of visual effects due to a previous macular hole but let's not assume that until the other problems are ruled out.
