My upper GI series shows NOTHING !

Help ! So, after eight weeks if not being able to catch my breath in a regulat basis, I went tot a Gastro. He did an esophogram, Upper GI and a scan of my Abdomen (Liver, gallbladder) .
After waiting a week, we finally called him and he told me that he doesnt see anything that could be causing me to not be able to catch my breath and that "Gastro problems never cause breathing problems"....Huh ?
Ive been told so many stories quite the opposite and that includes my Heart and lung doctor..what gives ?

He wasnt rude or anything and he seems concerned and he schedulued me for an endoscopy. Now....will they fond something there they couldnt see in the other tests ? He said my gall baldder had some "sludge" but nothing major.

I know im not crazy or under anxiety. I burp and I can catch my breat, if I eat too much, I cant catch my breath, If I take rolaids chewables, I get some relief from boat and can catch my breat, so...how is this not Gastro related ?

Lying in bed the other day, my stomach was gugrgling, but I was catching my breath every time, then I heard a loud weird noise under my ribcage, and suddenly, I couldnt catch my breath again.

Im really scared and dont want this to last...can someone shed some light and/or help me ???

Hi Geoffrey.

I am sorry u r having such a hard time getting a dx.My father went thru the same thing last year and had repeated ER visits and they found nothing but the "sludge"......this all started in March....and finally in July they took out his Gall Bladder.

ALL the symptoms are the same....push for them to continue to look at ur GB.

Oh and bcuz the "sludge" was there so long it started to affect his liver.My father had diff breathing, and also had vomiting.

I am not saying this is ur situation...only  no one listened to my father...I was with him in the ER and he said "I believe it is my GB".....the dr said it did not show up on the tests.
