Abdominal CT Scan

Abdominal CT Scan

I am a 38 yr old female with breast cancer currently under going chemo. Due to severe abdominal pains my oncologist sent me to a GI Specialist. After a CT Scan I was informed that there were 2 abnormalities. # 1 - there is a "shadow" that the need to investigate further and # 2 - I have abnormal thickening of the rectum which again they want to invertigate further. My GI doctor gave me no options on exactly what that shadow can be. On Monday I go in for 2 scopes...an upper and a lower - to determine what the heck in going on. Can you tell me what that shadow could be, other than cancer. once he said "shadow" I immediately thought the worse...started crying and the stupid doctor said nothing to help me otherwise. I dont want to wait until Monday to find out what else it could be!!
