Hi,I had small pox at the age of 20 and I'm 50.After pox was cured I had digestion promblem, dysentry was a regular problem ,white mucus, mile buring sensetion and pain around the navel, gas and acidity were other symptoms.I consulted few doctors but they couldn't find the disease. So what disease could it be? And what medicines should I take?
Though the symptoms could be related to an ‘acute’ case of small-pox, viremia does not persist beyond the recovery phase; and while deformities are a common complication, prolonged inflammatory symptoms are unlikely to be a result of the infection. Hence other possible causes of the symptoms such as infection, inflammation, dietary causes, growths/ masses, malsorption, hormonal/ endocrine abnormalities, neuro-muscular causes, stress, IBS etc. would need to be considered. I would suggest getting this evaluated by an internist initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.
Hope this is helpful.
