Any advice for nausea and constipation? I think I have intestinal adhesions...again!

by TerriBelle, Sep 15, 2008 05:04PM
Hi, I am having terrible nausea and constipation and gas pains on a daily basis.  I am sure I have intestinal adhesions again...please look at my profile...sorry it's so long and involved.  I am so confused at what I should do next, and just think that another surgery to fix adhesions would just result in MORE adhesions in the long run!  If anyone has any suggestions for medications I could try; even all-natural...PLEASE reply!!
Thank you...TerriBelle.

I am sorry to hear you are going through a hard time.I have a few nerve, gynae, bowel probs myself.I have recently learned that adhesions of the stomach area can play havoc with nerves as they run from head to toe .I have had 6 m.r.i.s on my head and one on back in the last 5yrs looking for MS all clear except for O.A.The adhesions in tummy can pull on all nerves that have to pass through on their way to your feet and cause all kinds of symptoms and pain.I think you should talk to DR.about this possibility or ask to be referred to a nuerologist, just to be sure as for adhesions i would continue to have them removed to ease your discomfort its minor surgery for big pain relief.I think you should also attend a dietician as you dont seem to be happy about weight gain.Losing weight would reduce your pain.I recently gained alot of weight and found my pain increased as a direct result.I have started walking 2miles a day and doing yoga twice a week and look and feel alot better.Sometimes a small effort makes a big difference.I think espeically when there are a lot of things medically we cant fix or do ourselves. Its nice to have a bit of control in our lives.

All the best in the future.
