. No mucosal fold
thickening or ulceration is evident. A few small round filling
defects are identified in the transverse and descending colon;
however, these do not persist on all images and are favored to
reflect air bubbles or retained fecal material. No definite
mass
is apparent. The vermiform appendix is partially opacified and
appears normal. There is a small amount of reflux into the
distal ileum.
IMPRESSION: Barium enema essentially within normal limits.
My doctor said my colon is 100% normal, but I would like a second opinion if there is a need for a colonoscopy.
Only a second opinion from another doctor who can see the images of your barium investigation, can be relevant. The question could be, if those small round filling defects are from air bubbles or from ulcers.
