Bilirubin high levels

by matilda09, Mar 21, 2009 08:05AM
Hello
My husband has to have another blood test to check his Bilirubin levels. Also has to have an ultrascan
His previous readings are (In Australia)

His  Dr has put
Bilirubin 44 on his blood test referral

I looked up his previous results and it states
26/1/08        21/11/08
T Bili  45       T Bili 44
Normal results are  2-20
So if reading right he is twice as high at 44 ?

and in
26/1/08         21/11/08

D Bili 9          D Bili 9
Normal   0-8

I think he may have Gilberts Syndrome as it seems there is a member of his family who has GS and I believe GS is hereditery
