Black Stools

by tazman813, Aug 30, 2009 11:02AM
My bowel movements, stools, have become very black in color in last two days. I am on medication for my heart and also taking meds for back pain?

You should seek medical advice as to whether your medications cause black motions.  Such motions can result from intestinal bleeding - the medical name is melena and you may want to look this up on google.

If in doubt seek medical help.  In order that your doctor may be tempted to dismiss the symptoms as a result of your medication yopu may wish to ask "have I got melena and what does this mean?"
