Kindly advise when one has adhesions from abdominal surgeries, why do these adhesions create such havoic and get worse when time goes by rather than better. I had a colonoscopy and I will be honest with ANYONE that has had abdominal surgery, it is PAINFUL
. Even when you have an IV w/strong drugs. If you have adhesions ask to be put under otherwise you will not have any comfort. I think more Dr.'s need to be honest about this with patients. I know I would never get another one of these done. It just would not happen. I would like to know why the healing time in surgeries does not "heal" why it creates more adhesions.
Adhesions are scar tissue created by any surgery. I'm not sure what you are asking. Most people are put to sleep for a colonoscopy, I'm assuming you weren't? Plus, you don't say what type of surgery you had or for what. Unless it was colon related, I can't imagine what scar tissue has to do with your colonoscopy.
