Could Fundoplication(GERD) surgery damaged my pyloric valve

Is it possible that my pyloric valve was damaged from the surgery?

It would be unusual for fundoplication to cause damage to the pyloric sphincter since that specific sphincter is at the other end of the stomach. So directly, probably not. However, there are side-effects that can occur with fundoplication surgery. Perhaps one of those side-effects could affect the funtioning of the pyloric sphincter. If you're experiencing gastroparesis, for instance, which can occur following fundoplication that condition can make a person believe the pyloric sphincter isn't working because the whole of the stomach doesn't move the food forward.
