Egg burps, pain, extreme poopage

Ok, we've all seen posts, a bunch of people have this. My question is has anyone ever gotten a valid, actionable diagnosis for this? I have never seen anyone say that a doc has figured this out, but many anecdotal stories of 'I quit eating broccoli' or 'Eat only alkaline foods' and other such weirdness. My current gastro says that I am getting temporarily bound up (I have Chrons) and this is everything backing up due to a blockage. It certainly can feel like a blockage, but anyone who has dealt with this can tell you that in no way are we hampered with output on either end.
My most recent extreme episode had me rolling to the ER (begrudgingly since it's so expensive and I am drowning in medical bills even with 2 insurances already) and an xray showed no blockage, although by the time they got around to it it might have righted itself.  
If it's a food, then tell me, but I've tried to chart a correlation to a specific food with no joy.
I've thought it might be my diabetes meds (Amaryl) but nope, still happens even if I don't take it.
Though it might have been my gall bladder, but nope still happens even though it's been out for like 4 years now.

Anyone have any success stories or info from a doc that ended up working? I am thinking about having a complete allergy test to maybe see if it's some allergy that I might be able to avoid, but am dubious that it will have results.
