Excess Saliva Production/Weight Loss

I refer to a post by Maw Perkins, Feb 1, 2006 on Excessive Saliva Production. I experience virtually the same thing just as he has described about his mum. I am producing excessive saliva, experiencing serious loss of appetite and have significantly lost weight (4kg in the last 2 wks). I force myself to eat something but after a while i feel sick. I have had 2 partial strokes and am on medication for that.

I would greatly appreciate any form of advice that can help explain why this is happening to me and how best I can treat myself. As you may appreciate, this is very worrying - at over 60 years of age i cant afford to loss the little weight I've got.
