Gallbladder Polyps

by texnfx, Aug 07, 2008 12:01PM
three months ago ultrasound found two polyps in gallbladder - only the largest was measured at 5.6mm x 4.4mm.   a recent ultrasound reported that the polyps are upto 5mm.  Dr does not seem concerned and said return for follow -up ultrasound in one year.  also ultrasound tech said that polyps in gallbladder were common and that Dr does not normaly get excited re this.

anyone know anything re this as am very worried.

Docs typically start to worry about gallbladder polyps when they're about 1 cm in size or closing in on that. Another worry would be if they're obstructing the entry of bile into the cystic duct and it doesn't sound as if yours are.
