. About an hour, maybe less I was hit with a sharp pain in my stomach. I was buckled over. Over the next two days the pain moved around my gut and at one point I felt like I was going to explode. The second night I passed two very long and loud farts. Could I have experienced a bout of "twisted bowel"?
I have very normal guts. No history of serious gut problems in my family
The night before I had a small portion of "poverty stew" - beans, rice, potatoes, carrots, celery. My husband ate a full portion and he had no symptons. So I don't think it was spoiled.
A few weeks ago I had a colonoscopy the doctor had to terminate because I was feeling every twist and turn and poke and prod of the scope. I was resistant to the sedation drugs and in pain. He then sent me for a CT scan where I was filled with air and he had another look around. He says I have a very "twisty-turny" gut. I now have to go back for a "retake" because the GI doc isn't sure if he saw "something" or not the first time around. I'm scared.
If the doc thought the something was SOMETHING!!! he wouldn't have scheduled the retake a month later, right?
This retake is being done under general anesthesia.
