Helicobacter Pylori Infecton

Hi I'm just wondering if you could fill me on some info regarding Helicobacter Pylori and Stomach Cancer.

I read recently that 1-2% of people infected with Helicobacter Pylori will develop Stomach Cancer and I'm wondering how accurate that statistic is? And if it isn't accurate then is there a very high chance people infected with Helicobacter Pylori will develop Cancer of the Stomach?

I've read contradicting statements from two websites regarding the statistics and I'm unsure what to believe because a loved one of mine is possibly infected with Helicobacter Pylori and she is also a smoker over the age of 55 so I want some information for myself on it.

Any reply is massively appreciated, thanks.

I have stomach problems as well but don't know if I have helicobacter pylori. I might, who knows.
