High GGT levels

by chriss846, Feb 23, 2009 05:02PM
hi, i am a healthy 34 yr old female.I first went to the doctors regarding continual cystitos.I had cat scans, which all came back clear but my blood tests showed high GGT levels of 200 and high levels of copper i was then referred to a liver specialist.New blood tests were done and all other levels were in the normal range except for the GGT level which was 111.He has asked me to repeat these tests in 3 months time.I have been tested for hepetitus and high copper and are clear.I rarely drink alcohol and take no medication. Is there anything i should do (stop drinking completley) or do GGT levels rise sometimes? I smoke about 5-10 cigarettes a day.Is there any advice you could give me? Thanks a lot.
