Left lobe liver lesion

Left lobe liver lesion

I am a 43 yr old male with a long family history of cancer (colon, liver, and non-hodgekins lymphoma), but no occurances of my own. I recently had a urine sample taken because I am on high blood pressure medicine and they found trace amounts of blood in my urine. After which they ordered a CT abdomen scan W&W/O contrast. The results were just mailed to me which stated that an ill-defined lesion in the left lobe of the liver was noticed. Is a Lesion the same as a cut or bruise? Why is there no indication of size of the lesion in the report? I have read several other post's about liver lesions and many seem to be related to cancer. I have been extremely fatigued lately and under a lot of stress. I don't eat alot but am always bloated afterwards. I also have been having a lot of acid reflux and have been taking over the counter meds (Zantac) for it daily. Can you explain what an ill-defined left lobe liver lesion is, and what implications come from the details I have provided?

Call your doctor and ask him to explain what this means, which is probably more testing. There are many types of lesions and causes, so it would be difficult for us to say what we think about it.  Don't wait, call your doctor and ask what this means, and what is the next step.  Take care...
