Lower left abdomen pain and rectal/anal pain

by babe973, Feb 07, 2009 10:03PM
In the mornings, not always but occasionally, I would get a very sharp pain in my lower left abdomen (sometimes I can feel the pain travelling from lower left to lower middle of abdomen) followed by an excruciating pain in my rectum/anus prior to passing stool. Once the stool has passed the anus there is no more pain, and if I had to go again during the day there is also no pain at all.
The stool seems to be large, sometimes soft, sometimes it feels as if I am constipated (but it is not)
