MANOMETRY

Has anyone out there had a manometry or ph testing?  What can I expect?  I am so scared to have this done because they do not put you out.  Just the thought of a tube going through my nose down the back of my throat makes me gag.  I have a very strong gag reflex.  I have had so stomach issues for years and have had many endoscopies.  The only abnormal one was three years ago when I was diagnosed with a small erosion.  At that time I was taking 40 mg of nexium once a day.  Doctor increased it to two times a day which helped for quite a while; however, I have not been feeling well for several months.  I have had a change to my medication to omneprazole, 40 mg. 2x day for about two years now.  I have pain in my upper stomach that radiates to my throat.  It is not necessarily associated with eating.  I have nausea, stomach upset and fullness.  I am never hungryfill up, easily and stay full for a long time.   I am very worried this something serious but nothing shows up on the endoscopy.  It was suggested three or four years ago that I should have a manometry and ph testing but I am very scared and have heard horror stories about it.  Can anyone give me any answers please.
