Periodic sharp pain and diarrhea

by JGK55, Jul 25, 2008 12:23PM
I am 52, male and active.
Periodically I get sharp pain in the lower left quadrant of my gut.
It often makes me salivate as if I were  going to vomit.
It doubles me over and I have severe diarrhea.
Normally once I have done that it goes away.

I remember this happening every say 6 months since I was 10 yrs old...sometimes teh agps are longer but it seems to be increasing in frequency.
I had all sorts of tests done maybe 20 years ago but nothing was found.
It is so fleeting by teh time te doc sees me the issue has resolved.

Any thoughts?
