Salmonella returns!

Salmonella returns!

I lived in Mexico for 11 years, and just got my first "taste" of salmonella a few weeks ago.  I had occasional bouts of diarrhea, but mainly felt like I had the flu ... very listless and desperately wanting to sleep all day and night.  The doctor put me on 500 mg. of Cipro twice a day, and I felt much better within three days.  I took the entire seven-day course of Cipro.   Within a week, I am feeling the old symptoms again.  I live in a remote area, so getting to the doctor is a huge effort and requires an overnight stay.  Should I take another course of the Cipro, which we can buy over the counter here? I appreciate any advice or suggestions you may have.
