Saverly backedup

by 4479124, Nov 03, 2009 11:57AM
My 14 year old son had exrays done two months ago showing he was backedup. He was vomiting after every meal and drink. They said it was caused from being so backedup that the food had no place to go but up. He has realy bad headaches and lower abdominal pain. He also has been over tiered. He has had a caugh for the last three months that just wont go away. His blood work all came back good.He is on Miralax and stool softners for constipation but I dont feel he is constipated. He has a bowel movement every day and it is normal. What could be going on with him.

I would take your son to a pediatric gastroenterlogist for evaluation.  This was a very serious back-up, and makes me wonder if it wasn't caused due to a physical problem within the colon.  He needs to have a colonoscopy to make sure his bowel is okay.  Make sure the cough isn't from on of the medications, if not, this is of concern also.
