Severe Nausea & Indigestion

I have been suffering from Severe Nausea and Indigestion ever since having an operation in early November. I'd had the same operation once before and been absolutely fine afterwards, no stomach or nausea whatsoever. The second operation was a good two months after the first one and ever since I've been really off, and feel massively bloated and gassy after eating food. I've only thrown up twice after massive meals and wine, both times normal - no blood. My doctor advised that the wine is highly acidic so to avoid it which I am now doing. He also advised it was no doubt a stress ulcer from all the strain my body has been under, therefore I have been taking omeprazole which made me feel better after about a week, however I had a glass or two of champagne (thinking one or two wouldn't hurt!) at New Year and all of a sudden its worse than before and over a week later I still don't feel better. I've made an appointment at my Doctor for this Friday but am beginning to panic.I have no severe cramps, and the odd bit of heartburn. Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  What was the operation?  It is actually shown now that stress cannot cause ulcers.
