Slightly Elevated Lipase

by az_sky99, May 07, 2009 01:29AM
Hi,
I my Lipase levels were 316 recently (Test normal range 114-286). Blood work I had six months ago had lipase levels around 300.  I have had a recent ultra-sound of the abdoman which was normal and my doctor checked me over pretty well. I have a swallowing disorder of the esophogous, high blood pressure, and tachycardia but no classic symptoms of pancreas disorders. I have been a vegetarian for 13 years but my diet is not the best because of my esophogous disorder and I am on the slim side as far as weight. Besides primary pancreas diseases  are there any other disorders that could cause slightly elevated Lipase levels or is it normal to have lipase levels slightly out of range. I asked my doctor this question and he really didn't give me a good answer.
Thanks,
Paul
