Stomach "lock-up"
I am a 77 year old male with Barrett's Esophagus.  Occassionally, usually during dinner I experience strong discomfort in my stomach appears to lock-up with gas  increasing greatly.  This increases to the point it is difficult to breathe.  The pain will increase in intensity for about two to three hours, then last sometimes all night.  The pain is continued as I cannot belch to lessen the pressure. Since I brush my tongue, I am insensitive to putting my finger in my throat, therefore cannot vomit.  I need help, yet have found no answer to date.  How do I relieve the pressure on my stomach?
