gurgling thread, but it seems somewhat different from what others are describing so I decided to start a new thread. I can burp normally, but I have had a little bit of throat
gurgle all my life (I like the term "burgling"!). For the last two weeks or so it's been more intense and seems connected with something else. I've got a pain in my back just around my left shoulder
. Not a terrible pain, just bad enough to keep me from sleeping well. Usually most noticeable at night, it goes away for a few moments if I move but then comes right back. i thought it might be either a bad sleeping position or overuse of left arm (I'm a leftie) from a whole lot of computer mousing, but ... Along with this I also feel the sensation of a lump
, like a burp that's stuck, and I 'burgle' often. Just yesterday I felt a really brief, stabbing pain in my mid abdomen /back on the left side (kidney?), bad enough that i actually yelped out loud, and since then mildly uncomfortable waves of hurt there that last about two seconds, ten minutes to a couple of hours in between pains. I'm falling apart - but only on the left side! Not actually sure if the two pains are related. Any ideas? ETA: I had a full ultrasound in July for an unrelated 'lady problem', they saw no signs of kidney or gallstones then, and I had no other obvious signs of disease - normal bloodwork, sugar levels and so on.
Welcome to the gastroenterology community! Thank you for posting on your own thread. I would recommend talking to your doctor about this next time you see him. You could also talking to your doctor about eliminating different foods from your diet to see if that helps.
