So, in the past, I've only occasionally had this feeling where, if I do not eat, I get so hungry that I feel a bit faint. My stomach no longer growls, but is replaced by an uncomfortable feeling that is hard to describe. I feel it faintly in my head
Well, in the last two weeks or so, I have gotten this feeling every day about 10 minutes after waking up. Almost feels like I want to throw up, but I am not a throw up person-cant even get myself to if I tried. I'm not pregnant, so it's not morning sickness. It's not the type of throw up feeling like I actually have anything to throw up or that food does not look appealing. It's more like a reflex
(sort of like air traveling, but not like a burp) I feel a bit better, but not completely. I eat breakfast every day-a bowl of cereal, or sometimes eggs/bacon, sometimes with fruit, or just a fruit bowl, or something, with coffee (sometimes tea). I eat three meals a day with a snack around 3pm and usually something after dinner. I eat dinner usually around 5 or 5:30, so I'm often hungry around 8 or 9. I dont want to eat too much before bed but if I go to bed hungry (and sometimes my stomach growls about 5 minutes before bedtime) I cannot sleep and I will wake up throughout the night hungry and then when I am up in the morning, I am very hungry.
I'm a bit concerned because it's happening every day. It's like my stomach skips the growling process, or it does it in my sleep. I know it's several hours going by without eating. It does not matter if I wake up at 8am or if I wake up at 10am, either.
It takes awhile for my body to acknowledge that food is in my system, so even after I eat I'll feel it. I always eat first thing, but lately, because of this, I am not waiting for my coffee to be made before eating, or if I'm cooking something, I'll eat the non-cooked part of my breakfast, like a banana.
I try to eat right, so I dont know if it's that I'm missing something in my diet that's causing it. I eat my fruits and veggies, get my lean protein, take a fish oil (I dont eat seafood) and a multivitamin daily. Nothing in my food intake has changed in the last couple of weeks.
Anyone know what this is or why it's happening so often? I'm sorry I cannot be more clear on the precise feeling. Thank you.
