I've had pain (not severe) for about a year in the upper ribRib cage pain abdomen near my ribcage and in my back and intermittent pain in the lower right abdomen. I had a CT scan almost two years ago, an ultrasound almost one year ago, an endoscopy six months ago, and liver and pancreatic function tests within the last six months. All have been normalNormal saline flush. I did have a gallbladder evaluation which showed the ejection fraction was at 22%, but the surgeon did not want to move ahead with its removal. I have been a heavy drinker for 15 years. About two weeks ago, the pain under the ribcage almost stopped entirely, but I continue to have dull pain in my lower right abdomen. Could it be that I've finally compromised my liver, or any thoughts on what else might be going on?
