Vomiting, abdomonial pains and headaches

my son has been having vomiting spells since start of June and it is the end of july now.  he has lost 25 pounds and is 17 years old.  He vomits typically in the early morning.  He cannot eat in the morning or he will throw up.  the only things he can eat and possibly keep them down is mac and cheese, non-fried chicken and sometimes apple juice.  They have scanned his throat to his stomach and his colon.  everything looked normal.  They did find some food particles in his stomach (old food).  any physical exercise (aerobic) causes him to vomit almost immediately.  His hospital is going to run a test next week to see how quickly things move from his stomach to his small intestines.  That is the last thing they have to check for...What else can be done and what could this be???

It sounds like gastroparesis which is tested for in the test he is going to have next week.  If this shows normal results, then you can talk to his doctor about Zofran which is a medication that helps with nausea.  Also, because it is mainly happening in the morning, you can try elevating the head of his bed when he sleeps.
