abdominal pain after gallbadder surgery

abdominal pain after gallbadder surgery

I got sick in Nov.2009, I had what I thougth was heart palpitations, bad acid reflux,( could not stop burbing ) , running a low grade fever (99.0-100.4) at least once a day &  pain under my right ribs. I went to E.R. I was admitted for 6 days. I was on a heart monitor for the whole time, heart rate a little high at times (stress) but no palpitations showing up even though I was feeling them, often followed by burbing. Had echo, stress test that showed a shadow that they said was most likely nothing, but with how bad I was feeling, thougth we should do a heart catheterization.  The good news is I found out that I have a very good heart, thank god. The bad news, if not heart palpitations what am I feeling. Blood work all good, don't know why I am running fever. Did ultrasound of my gallbadder to check for stones & found none. I was released & went home with nothing found out about why I feel so bad, but told I have a good heart which helped me deal with the stress a little better. Next stop Gastrointestinal Dr.for a endoscopic, more good news, no barrertt's syndrome, no cancer, confrims acid reflux & increases my meds. asked if I had a hida scan, told him I never heard of it & no one at the hospital ever said I should have one. He orders the test & what do you know, my gallbadder is working at less then 5%. he tells me it needs to come out, it  could be the cause of low grade fever, & what I feel as heart palpitatons could be spasms from the acid reflux & bad gallbadder. " Thank you I'm not insane", sign me up for surgery. He said I should feel about 85% better after the removal, but I will still have the acid reflux to deal with so he couldn't say 100%. I have my Laprascopic surgery on march 30,2010. I feel better the same day, my burbing has not been as bad, & what I feel as palpitations has calm down, but I still feel them & hope they will get better as I heal. Well its 2 1/2  months after my surgery & I still have a low grade fever every day, had a ton of blood work,no infections, everything came back good, the only thing that was off a little is my testosterone levels are a little low, I am 51 years old & in pretty good shape, I have appointment with a Endocrinology Dr. soon, maybe fevers are "hot flashs", I still feel like I have palpitations, which they aren't,"so I'm told", almost always followed by burbing, the new things since surgery is, I get spasms where my gallbadder was, you can feel them with your hand, & I have had bad lower abdominal pain on right side that will not go away, it is like a tooth ache, always there & gets worst when I do any thing like lifting, pushing or pulling. I have an appointment with the surgeon next week, after having seen my family Dr. a few times & him not knowing what is causing it & being told by the surgeon 's nurse that the pain in my abdominal wouldn't be caused from gallbadder surgery. Guess she ever heard of (PCS) Post-Cholecystectomy-Syndrome. I talked to a nurse I met, said she is going though the same thing I am, all the same even the heart jumping/spasms, she told me I am not nuts & she is over a year of trying to feel right & said not to give up or in to any dr. that tells you its in your head or your pain is not real. She also told she was on donnatal & it has helped her with the spasms. I think I have gone on way to long & was wondering if there is anyone else going though any of the same. Thank you
