blastocystic hominis

After having diarrhea for years (4-5) and after doing tens of tests/exams, finally today I saw "crysts....blastocystic hominis" in my stool sample although it never showed at earlier tests.

Do you think this was the cause of my diarrea (diarrhea)? (I hope)
I am also suffering from weight loss (I am 26 male and I only weight 46KGs), Fatigue, abdominal pain, sometimes body ache, headache, etc which are all symptoms of this bacteria.

Anyone with similar experience ?

The common symptoms experienced by blastocystic hominis are diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence, loss of appetite, weight loss etc. In many people who carry blastocystis there may be no signs or symptoms. While in few it can be found in others who have diarrhea and other gastrointestinal problems. It is still doubtful whether this organism itself causes infection or is an innocent bystander with other infections. Ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, malabsorption are few other causes of chronic diarrhea. Do discuss it with your doctor and get evaluated. Keep me posted.
