bloody mucus....

by Magoda, May 01, 2009 11:31AM
I am prone to anal fissures, also my doctor suspected me of IBS. I've never had a colonoscopy. Sometimes there is mucus in my stool when constipated, when i have an anal fissure there is blood, no big deal since you can feel the tear when you use the restroom.

The thing I worry a bit about is that whenever I have to hold it in for a long time there is mucus with a bit of blood in the mucus. I worry its an IBD except i have no diarrhea, or fever, or nausea, or anything. The blood is bright red so its most likely from near the anus. However, right now I don't have an anal fissure, and there was bright red blood mixed in with the mucus. Again, this is from holding in what ended up being a rather large bowel movement for roughly 45 minutes.
