could back pain be caused by colitis?

could back pain be caused by colitis?

I have a backpain just by the bra strap and it normally dissipates by midday (thanks to ketorolac and iboprufen), but it gets me out of bed - most times unable to breathe deep;y - feeling like bedcoils are digging me in the ribs.  (my bed is brand new with that top soft layer above the matress - so no coils!)  I have had this since easter 2010 and I am so tired (obviously that brings irritability etc - and being a single parent to 2 preeschoolers is hard work and I don't want them to bear the brunt of my lack of rest.

Could this be colitis nerviosa?  Did liver and pancreatic etc blood work and all came back ok apart from a signal that there was an inflammatory process going on somewhere.  Next step?

Any help/tips would be grately received.
PS: am vegetarian, don't do to much spice nor coffee nor alcohol (at weekends sometimes).
