diarrhea and swollen lymph nodes

I have had diarrhea for the past 6 months.  I also have swollen lymph nodes in the lower right quadrant of my stomach.  I have had an upper and lower GI, a barrium test, cat-scan, gluten blood tests, and nothing has shown up except a very small ulcer.  I went to a surgeon yesterday wanting some kind of an answer.  He said that he will be in contact with my gastro doctor to discuss what they should do next.  He also said that you could tell from a cat scan that I had had done 10 months ago and the one that I had done in August of this year that the lymph nodes had changed greatly.  He said that he wants to avoid putting me through any more tests until he discusses it with my gastro doctor. He is getting ready to go on a vacation for 2 weeks.  Meanwhile, the diarrhea continues non-stop and the pain on my lowe right quandrant hurts constantly.  I am at a loss.  I don't go back to see him until 11 December.
Does someone have some suggestions or ideas of what could be wrong or what to do next?????

This mess all started with horrible smelling gas.  Now I also have a gurgling sound right before I have to run to the bathroom.
