My husband had surgery one month ago and the past week had a bad episode with abdominal pain saw his doctor put him in hospital for a week.  They had him on IV liquids for 6 days and than started him on liquids by mouth.  The liquids were milk, orange juice, serbert and cream soups.  One is that the right liquid form he should be on.  I thought milk constipated.  They want him to have a bowel movement before he goes home but not with all the foods that make you constipated.  We are getting a second opinion after he gets out we think the hospital and nurses don't know what the heck they are doing.......help
