fatty spots on pancreas

A recent scan has shown fatty spots on my pancreas.  What causes this other than overweight and can I do anything to reverse the problem?  Need an answer  ASAP

Fatty infiltration of the pancreas is apparently a somewhat common condition that happens as a person ages. I gather that most people have at least some by 50 years of age. If that is what is going on it does not mean a disease condition. Fatty deposits can be increased with liver disease, alcohol abuse, obesity, etc. The 'fatty' condtion apparently can be changed by supposedly changing lifestyle and habits: in general - weight loss, watching the diet, discontinuing drinking, and watching cholesterol levels, etc.
