problems after nissen x2

I have had a nissen in 08.  Then had problems return 7 weeks postop.  After much testing, found that my stomach is slow to empty and my gallbladder was no longer working.  Went back in for my gallbladder to be taken out and possible revision on the fundoplication.  I opted not to have the opening for the delayed gastric emptying due to all the "dumping" problems that can occur.  My question is, has anyone else had esophagus spasms and extreme nausea?  I can eat as slow as I possibly can but that doesn't seem to help.  I am happy I had the surgery.  I was taking prevacid twice a day and still having problems.  I don't have to take any more meds which is great.

I had this surgery on 4/8/09 and am also experiencing spasms.  My doctor told me that it might happen although he doesn't see it often.  He told me the spasms will subside as time goes on (as the swelling around the esophagus goes down).    Because the "severe episodes" last 15-20 minutes or more at times, he prescribed Nitro to take when i have a bad attack.  He said the nitro will help relax the esophagus muscle and will help ease the attack.
