I am not over weight. and I am 62 years old. Everytime I eat I get severe pressure in my stomach...the upside VEE where your ribs come together. Even if it is just a few bites I feel like I am going to explode. I have had a colonoscopy and had my stomach scoped............. everything came back clear. No ulcers, no lesions............. colon was healthy. But I still have the pain............ it actually makes me nauseous. I don't know what to do
There are many causes of such pain in abdomen. Few common causes are gastrointestinal infection, reflux disease, food allergy etc.Other causes are Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, acute appendicitis, diverticulosis, cholecystitis, kidney stones etc.The presence of associated symptoms like its intensity, relation with food, aggravating and relieving factors are important in determining the exact cause of your symptoms. If the pain is persistent see your doctor again. You may need an ultrasound examination. Tests like serum amylase, LFT, KFT may be helpful. Treatment will depend on the underlying cause.
Best wishes and regards!
