vagotomy pyloroplasty

vagotomy pyloroplasty

My mom (74YRS) had a vagotomy and a pyloroplasty 4 years ago during an emergency surgery for a perferated ulcer that she did not know she had.  As a result she had all the typical complications but she was also unable to eat and lost 80 pounds.  18 months ago drs put in a feeding tube and she did gain about half of the weight back.  She is still absolutely miserable.  She can't eat because of nausea, difficulty swallowing food and suffers with debilating constipation.  She can seldon leave the house because of weakness and feeling so bad.  Since her surgery we have seen 3 different gastro drs at 3 different hospitals (one was chief at Hopkins) and no one has been able to offer any suggestions to improve her quality of life.
Has anyone heard of this or have any ideas of where else to go to get help?  I recently heard of a gastric pacemaker but have not pursued this yet.
