Help! need second opinion

Hi, I am a healthy, active 19 year old.  I suffered with multiple viral infections of the throat throughout last year.  I finally had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.  Returning back to school as a sophomore, I am sick once again. I have had fevers for five days now, difficulty breathing, severe sore throat with ulcers, and swolen shut nasal passages.  The worst part of this illness is how painful the throat it along with a little laryngitis.
I just went to my campus wellness center, which by the way a nurse was the person that diagnosed me.  She claimed that it was all just allergies.  Ok, I have lived with allergies to dust and stuff since I was little.  This is not allergies.  I am in a lot of pain. A week ago I ran atleast 2 miles every day, and all of a sudden I can't even walk up stairs without being out of breath and struggling to breath.  This isn't normal, it is obviously an infection since my throat is so sore and the frequent fever.  The nurse didn't even give me a strep throat test or mono test.  Can you help?
