How can I lower my blood pressure

by Angelito, Sep 08, 1999 12:00AM
Ever since I was diagnosed with Graves' disease my blood pressure has never been normal. I took the radio active iodine and am now on synthroid. I do cardiovascular exercise of 30 minutes or more 5 days a week. I don't drink sodas nor alcohol and I do not smoke. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables and have cut down on my salt intake and red meat and fatty foods and yet I can't seem to lower my blood pressure. I am also taking zestril. What else can I do?

It sounds like you are doing all the right things. It might just be that you need more Zestril or an additional medication to control your blood pressure.
