I was diagnosed with
KawasakiKawasaki disease Disease when I was 12 years old. I am now 28 years old and have been wondering if there are any studies showing the incidence of long term effects of the disease (and not just heart complications). I was tested for heart problems while in the hospital, 1 year later, and then again 5 years later. Thankfully,no heart problems were found in any of those tests. I am currently experiencing problems that seem to be repetitive
strainStrains injuries in my arms and
handsHand or foot spasms
Hand tremor and will be seeing a specialist soon. I remember having the pain from arthritis in my
fingersAmputated finger
Amyloidosis on the fingers
Clubbed fingers
Cryoglobulinemia - of the fingers
Finger pain
Herpes zoster (shingles) on the hand and fingers
Janeway lesion on the finger
Kawasaki's disease, peeling of the fingertips
Nail abnormalities
Replantation of digits
Ringworm, tinea manuum on the finger when I was in the hospital with
KawasakiKawasaki disease. Is it possible this could end up being a precursor for arthritis in
KawasakiKawasaki disease patients later on? I would appreciate any direction you can give me about finding any research or collection of information about Kawasaki patients later in life. Thank You.
