My Dr suggest I go to the hospital to switch to Rythmol forbrthe fib, I stayed three days it worked, I came home and after nine daysbrmy heart went out of rythm again, I was then put on Coumadin along withbrthe lanoxin and was told to wait two months so there would be no clots, brwe would then go to the hospital for cardioversion. I had the conversionbrdone Monday May 3rd and was put on Amiodarone plus Atenolol my heartbrrate dropped to forty while sleeping at night so on May 5th a pacemakerbrwas inserted ,I returned home and six days after the conversion I wentbrout of rythm again. I am now back on Coumadin, Amiodarone, Lasix, K-DurbrAtenolol . The situation should improve if the medications convert you back to a normal heart rate. It may be worth another try of the electrical cardioversion on the current set of medications. If that does not work, consultation with a cardiac electrophysiologist may be in order.pI hope this has been useful. Feel free to write back with further questions. Good luck.pInformation provided here is of a general nature.  Specific diagnoses and treatments can only be made by your doctor.  If you would like to be seen at the Cleveland Clinic, please call 1-800-CCF-CARE for an appointment with a cardiologist at Desk F15.pbrPPHR WIDTH=75% SIZE=4 COLOR=#000090
