I have written before and appreciate your comments. I have a short question. I have PVC's and PAC's daily. Lately, (3 days now), they have been coming in runs one after another and I get really scared. It scares me because I feel like I may not get them to stop. I cough, change position, whatever it takes to make them stop. It takes about 10 seconds for them to stop. Do I need to be reevaluated or do you feel that they are ok. What will happen if they do not stop? Will I faint or go into cardiac arrest or something serious? They are a nuisance but I can handle getting one or two a minute, but it really scares me when they come all in a row and for 10 seconds or more. Thank you so much for anwering so many questions.

I have palpitations really bad too since 1 1/2 yrs. now been to many cardio dr.'s they now "think" I have MVP. I learned to live with it because thats what the Dr. told me but it still scares the crappola outta me when "they" happen and sometimes I feel like i will faint. But I guess I have to trust my Dr. on this one. I am on no medication or nothing. Did you have an eval done yet?

Hi Manu, Thanks for responding. Yes, I had an echo, ekg, chest x-ray, and holter which all proved negative and non-benign PVC's. But, I did not have the PVC's in runs when I had the holter on. They were single or two in a row type episodes, so that it why I am afraid. Lately, they have been all bunched together for 10 seconds or so (which is long when your heart is skipping like mad). I hope they are still just benign but will wait for the doctor to respond. Thanks again and I hope your pvc's get better too.

I would love to hear what your doctor says about your runs of pvc's.  I too have had pvc's for years, but only in the last 6 months have I been experiencing them in runs.  It scares me to death when this happens.  I know exactly what you mean by being afraid that they will not stop happening.  When the runs start, I always tell my husband get ready to rush me to the hospital if my heart doesn't start beating normal again...and then in what seems like minutes, but probably is only seconds, my heart gets back to it's normal rhythm. The heart rate is always somewhat slow after an episode like this though.  It is so good to hear that someone else is experiencing something similar to me.  I'm 32 years old, in good health and have had all the tests done.  They say benign pvc's, but like you, they haven't seen any of the runs on a monitor yet.  They never seem to happen when I'm wearing a monitor - of course!  Please let me know what you find out from your physician about the runs of pvc's.  Thank you!

Hi guys, I am like the 3 of you.  I have had PVC's and PAC's for 3 years now.  I also had all the tests done.  I was told mine are benign too.  Fortunately (or not so fortunately depending on how you look at it) I had a bad run of them a couple of years ago.  I mean constant runs for hours and hours on end.  It scared me so bad that I ended up in the emergency room.  The doctors there kept me hooked to a monitor, and were able to see the runs of them.  The diagnosis, was still benign, thank god.  I was then put on xanax, as needed along with my atenelol.  This bad episode went on for several days.  This was a very bad run of them that I never wish to experience again.  Since then, I have had a couple more bad runs of a few day, but thank god, not too often.  Most days, it is just the normal (for me) skips and jumps.  Some days, I still have them in runs, but, knock on wood, none have lasted hours or days in a long time.  Good luck to you guys too.  And, please keep posted here anything new you might run across.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a sensation in your throat up at the top that almost feels like your breathe is taken away for a split second?  I've been having this sensation for about the same length of time as my pvc runs have been occuring.  This sensation does not show up on the monitor as a skipped or extra beat.  It feels like I can't breath when this happens, and then it just goes away.  Does anyone else experience this?  This sensation does not occur with the pvc's at all and it is not brought on by anything in particular.  It can happen when I'm sitting wathching t.v. or lying in bed or when I'm on a run.  It is such a scary feeling though.
