SVT and Ablation

I've had SVT most of my life (I am now 62) and in the last ten years it has progressively gotten worse.  I'm thinking of having Radio Frequency Ablation on the advice of my cardiologist.  Could you tell me how many of these ablations you do at the Cleveland Clinic in any one time period (i.e., one year or one month)?  Thank you.

Dear Patricia,
Thank you for your question.  I would estimate at least 30 a month and probably more than that.  If you are interested in seeing someone in the EP department I would recommend Dr. Niebauer or Dr. Chung for your ablation.  You can find additional information at the website below.  Good luck.
I hope you find this information useful.  Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only.  Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies.  Please feel free to write back with additional questions.
If you would like to make an appointment at the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center, please call 1-800-CCF-CARE or inquire online by using the Heart Center website at www.ccf.org/heartcenter.  The Heart Center website contains a directory of the cardiology staff that can be used to select the physician best suited to address your cardiac problem.
