Very abnormal blood pressure?

Very abnormal blood pressure?

Hi, I was just wondering if running blood pressure being high puts you at risk for stroke. I'm 28 and 180lbs. After I run 10 min. I sit to check My blood pressure and it is 191/96. My resting bp is 130/80  is this dangerous, I also have a resting heart rate of just under 100 as I have started taking straterra yesterday, will this go away?

A blood pressure of 191/96 immediately after exercise is not a problem and that is actually expected because the contractility of the heart and the actual heart rate increase so much during exercise.  A resting blood pressure of 130/80 is normal.  Your resting blood pressure should always be less than 140/90 unless you are a diabetic and then it should be less than 130/80.  A resting heart rate of just under 100 is not ideal but it is fine.  It is likely due to Straterra and this should go away after being on the medication for a week or two.  A normal heart rate is between 60-100 but ideally your heart rate would be more in the middle around 80.

Hope this helps.
